RokBoks, If you have an eye on DDM and think that you might be enjoying them due to their based on reviews and comments , you should at least inquiry the seller perhaps you can get a used item for less or something like that...

An amp (even if it's only the $25 Fiio E5) will fill out the RE0 a bit, depending on the amp and it's power.  It may help you hear a bit deeper bass, bit more forward mids.  But 4 different amps (E5, T3, PA2V2, E7) I tried with the RE0 still didn't give the RE0 the bass impact I was looking for -- that kick in the kick drum.  YMMV.

Uh oh...well i really would like to feel the bass impact so maybe the re0's arent such a good idea...i have some Grado SR60's and i love them i find the bass just perfect would the re0's bass be significantly less or on par with the Grado's?

(thanks for the heads up haynes!)

Well...its been a while now..and my wallet is starting to get the hurtin.. For starters my sr60's died finally after over a year of haard abuse (so sad )... so now i just placed an order for portapros....after already buying some re0's...i just hope i dont keep this up or i'm going to end up a bum with lots of audio equipment...

Ive owned the RE0 (this is my second), and an IE6.  The IE6 is a good all arounder, not as detailed as the RE0.  The bass on the RE0 as other people mentioned seems a little light, especially coming from a Triple Fi, but the detail is amazing for the price.  If you mostly listen to rock I'd go RE0.

the FiiO E5 has a bass boost feature that could complement the re0, but IMHO this amp does not sound very good.

Ahhh sorry i didn't make my post clear i had already bought the re0's (note:details is AMAZING bass is a bit underwhelming but i'm used to it now after some burn in overall i'm really liking these)

However a few days after receiving the re0's i bought some portapro's and theyre on their way
