AKG K240 Repair (Rattling Problem)

I am having a problem with my AKG K240 Studio headphones.  There's an intermittent rattling in the left ear.  It rattles for a while, goes away briefly, then starts rattling again.  I've carefully disassembled and unsoldered the left earpiece, removed the driver and check for debris.  I didn't find anything, and when I re-assembled them the problem persisted.

What should I do?

Check the resistance at the plug.. and hope it's the plug, K240 are hard to recable.

It measures ~57ohms for both sides. It really sounds like a mechanical rattle, not a bad electrical connection. I resolderedmany of the connections when I was dis/re-assembling it.
