I was looking at standalone headphone amps on ebay, I was wondering which one of these 4 would be enough for the AKG 702s,  I dont have a money tree with 100 bills on it. So it has to be between these 4. One that enough MWs for powering the AKG702s at there rated ohms.  I may pick one of these in the future or may not if I in up having other plans. I just would like to know. I will be rolling op-amps whith which every one that be enough.

Have you considered the amps available for sale on the forum?

These looks great at their perspective prices:

http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/507055/ic-audio-gd-sparrow-and-nuforce-udac-free-bjc-coax-cable-for-combo-sale - Sparrow (decent DAC as well)

http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/507668/ic-ppav1-1a-w-discrete-diamond-buffers-loop-out-vishy-dale-gain-of-8 - GODLY deal, take it before I do!  It's difficult to build one of these at that price.

I'd personally go for the PPA, I love that amp and have owned a few.  The Millett amp is also really nice.  The Bravo is based on a Sijosae hybrid design, quite good, but really on the low-end of these.  Pimeta is nice and great at cost.  Sparrow is "newest", and offers very good value, especially at price considering it comes with a decent DAC.  If you need a DAC and want an all-in-one, Sparrow for sure.  If you can stretch budget and get a DAC later, definitely PPA.

Thx Tho atm I dont have the money.I just wanted to know the info. so when i do make up my mind I would know what will get.

Trust me on that PPA recommendation, get it before it's gone.  You can keep that amp for MANY years before having to upgrade (and not worth it until you decide to spend $700+).

I thought about that bravo but it not having covers on the sides bother me. As I sure it will get dusty, Now if they made one with sides or even fans to cool off the unit. Then I prolly keep the eye on it in the future.

I wasnt gonna get one now but in the future as I have plans of changing over to a STX anyway. I was actually asking the question for the future so I can use it with the STX's RCA out If I feel I neeed one later on.Thats why I wanted to know, So i can get it later on. My onboard audio is trash then I wouldnt want a usb dac or go digital.
