Who else has this album?

I just got it from Barnes & Noble Booksellers today. It is awesome. This is another great departure for Ms. Fleming.

I look forward to reading some replies. Thanks.

I haven't gotten it yet but it's on my wish list, Everything I've heard so far I like. It has been trashed a lot though, mostly by people who like to trash Fleming in general. It's always risky for opera singers to record albums in genres other than opera. The majority seem to be unsuccessful. Some of Fleming's prior endeavours have not been to my liking. In the same way you wouldn't want to hear a pop singer record an opera album (think Michael Bolton), most opera singers shouldn't be singing anything other than opera. There are some exceptions though. Eileen Farrell sounded great with whatever she sang, and Thomas Quastoff's jazz album from a few years ago wasn't half bad.

I read those reviews and I have to side with Fleming's supporters on her Dark Hope CD. It is quite amazing and I would not have thought it was her on the album because she sings in a tenor key. You should get this album and listen to it.

I've heard that every opera lover should have it. Im not too much into the genre, but im curious about it.

I am re-listening to the album now. I listened to it on my new ASUS N61JV-X2 laptop at Starbucks last night through my Grado SR-60i headphones and I was deeply impressed. It sounds leaps and bounds better on my home system which is in my signature.

You will not disappointed by this album if you love opera and especially Ms. Fleming. It is innovative in its conception and flawless in its execution. This album literally takes you to different sonic vistas with each track.

I always wanted to buy this album and I am glad that I did.

Well, I can tell you that the recording and engineering quality of this album is top drawer without sounding over processed or taking away from Ms. Fleming's vocals.

I am interested in this album.

The one Renee Fleming CD I have I absolutely love.

Strauss, Fleming, Eschenbach
