Ipod touch (4th gen:P) headphones similar to re2 or M1

Hi! I'm new to HF so I ask that you forgive my nubiness

 

I am currently music-less on the go because my ipod touch got stolen recently, but that gives me an excuse to purchase the new 4th gen one(that will hopefully have a camera, but that's a diff thread...)!

Unfortunately, with my ipod touch was my set of re2 from head direct with i absolutely loved. Maybe a bit err, "subtle" on the low end so i decided that i want something different

 

I recently listened to a set of M1 from brainwavs and also liked them, but i want an IEM with a mic and possibly controls that are compatible with an ipod touch.

 

So i ask if anyone knows an IEM which is close to the $50 mark and sounds similar to the re2 or m1?

Maximo iP-HS5 is probably as close as you'll get. Sadly IEMs with mics are few and far between.

Would you say that the iP-HS5's are able to match or maybe even outperform the m1 or the visang r03?

To me the Maximo iP-HS5 lack detail and the high end tends to be clouded

I would recommend Radius talk and Remote for iphone 3G. Radius is a japanese company making great products for iphone.

This headset sounds great and worth around $55US or so. I tried them at ALO audio retail shop in Portland Oregon. If you are near there you could check them out.

If not, you can get them from Musica Acoustics.

Fair amount of Head fiers used this place to order Radius DDM earphone, so it is reliable place. They also offer this iphone headsets with mic and controls. Check them out.
