I have searched for 20 minutes now. Where do you find the measurements he made with tons of different headphones?

What is the amp and more specifically the output impedance of the amp used for measuring the frequency response of the tested headphones?

Both Tyll's measures and headroom's.

It's a HeadRoom balanced desktop withless than 2ohms output Z.

Thanks.

Thanks for your effort, Tyll. Could you please keep the headphone measurements separate (i.e., one document per headphone)? This would make look-up and archival much easier. I know that you also provide individual measurements, but they are missing a few headphones (e.g., Philips) and some of the links are dead. It'd be best if you could put them into one web directory and make this directory browsable.

Am I reading those graphs right that the cheap Shures embarrass a lot of the more expensive headphones?

Also, did the ED-10s have the replacement pads? I wouldn't be too happy to see those graphs if I'd just bought a pair.

It was a pair that Todd had, and he said they were the replacement pads. After hearing them, I don't think you'd have to look at the graphs to be dissapointed.

I'm not sure if this is what you're asking for, but this page has what you're looking for, I think. I try to keep it up to date, but some things show up in the "all graphs" pdf before the listing.

Wow....for almost $3K I would expect much better headphones. What didn't you like about their sound (besides how they measured)?
