hd 650 and Little Dot MKIII

hi

this is my first setup, so plz drop down yours comments or any suggestion that would help alot ;)  tytytyty

 

hd 650 + Little Dot MKIII (first full size headphone and full amp)

 

hesitating to buy Little Dot MKIII cuz its service from China, if my amp need to repair i have to send it b to China

 

far-distance service ( im a low tech, i dont like it) 

 

any others suggesting amp would help P

Yeah, I had the same concerns as well. I was initially looking at the LDIV, but I didn't want to go through the hassle of having to mail the unit back and forth overseas should any issues arise.

 

You should look at either the Schiit Asgard ($250) or the Schiit Valhalla ($350) amps. I'm looking at the Val for my HD650s. Or maybe some of the Woos if you can increase your budget.

I have the MKIV (with HD650) and i bought it from David at little dot. I must say his service has been great and hes quick to respond to any emails. Just to a quick search on little dot services at this forum and you will find quite a few happy customers. As for build quality, it's quite good. I have never had an issue with my amp nor have I had to deal with exchanges and shipping back and forth so i can't comment on that area.

 

Other than that the MKIV/ III are great units. the stock driver tubes are crap but once you get into tube rolling it becomes an amazing unit especially if you invest a couple of bucks into voshkod 6J1P-EV's.
