Amp+Dac recommendations for Audio Tehcnica AD700

Hi all,

I recently bought an AD700 and i'm very happy with its soundstage and performance at high notes. Unfortunately, I'm using an onboard realtek soundcard. After few happy days, even with flac records thereafter some amplification i started to hear noise. I decided to buy a dac+amp unit with maximum budget of 200 $ . but suggestions up yo 250 dollars are OK. I usually listen jazz and classical if it's relevant for suggestions.
i'd like to clarify that i'm looking for a combo device not separate amp and dac.

Thanks.

Help Please ! I'd  be very glad  if somebody writes his personal opinion at least. I'm lost within all these brands and models.

I'd love to know as well, just purchased the AD700s earlier today...should be here in a few days.  I'm thinking about buying the uDAC-2 next week when I get paid.

I have AD700's, and I find that they pair very well with a uDAC. uDAC-2 probably as well, that remains to be seen.

But really,an amp is completely unnecessary with the AD700s, they don't need any kind of amping at all to sound their best. A good source is much more important, so any quality DAC with a headphone out should be just fine.

They don't need an standalone amp at all, I could hardly notice any differences with one. Get the Musiland 02US or uDAC1/2
