I am looking for a Musical Fidelity V-Dac in mint condition, pm me if you have one willing to sell.

Check out Sound by Singer's closeout sale.  They have a new V-DAC for $179 & a demo for $149.  I'd jump on it but just bought something else.  Start at http://www.soundbysinger.com/index.php?doc_id=387.

Thanks, but how do I purchase from them when I'm in Ontario, Canada?

Call them and ask?  Have a US friend hook you up?

I am interested in a v-dac as well and called them- they are out of both new and demos. Not surprisingly, they sold quickly.

Yeah, that was a good price.  If I could have ordered online late last night I would have picked one up for a spare at that cost.

wouldn't have helped- they sold last week. they just haven't updated their sheets in a while...

Yeah I just called them and they told me they are all sold and they are closing down, so where can I find one in Canada?

Close this thread, I ended up buying the V-Dac from a store in the UK that was willing to ship to Canada :)

The best deal for Canadians to buy a new V-DAC is by mail order from the U.K.  Price is lower than mail order from USA even after shipping and customs charges.  To be politically correct, ordering from the U.K. is not recommended for U.S. buyers because you won't have warranty.

The only other issue is that you will need to find a 110V power supply to replace the 220V one.

I got my V-Dac today and no custom at all... the price came out cheaper than buying a use one from this forum so I'm a happy camper :) BTW it's not hard to replace the power supply, I already replaced it with one I have lying around.

Ditto.  I got lucky too.  Can't beat the price.  :-)
