replacement cables for custom IEM

Hi guys,

 

I recently got my girlfriend a pair of custom in-ears, and she complains about the lack of bass on those.

I was wondering if there exist cables out there that have some kind of built-in passive filters to reduce the high-mid range in order to bring out the bass.

single alien ears.

the audio player is a regular mp3 player, but the eq is not very efficient...

I don't think a cable can resolve the bass problem in this case.

I suggest changing the earphones.

Thanks Kayser but if I'm looking for a cable or in line EQ solution, it is precisely because I can't afford nu earphones...

I was thinking maybe I can build a low-pass filter myself... Has anyone ever done something like this?

I'd suggest EQ or new earphones. Seriously don't expect too much from cables, they're the last thing you should change (if you believe in cable improvement that is).
