NOS AKG K1000 for 550$? Is it ok?

Hi! One of my local dealer (has good reputation, official AKG warranty etc) has K1000 for 550$ (it's NOS as they say).

I was wonder - how K1000 models differ. I read about early & later models. What are the differences between 'em?

Do not walk, but run there to grab it.

NOS pairs are very rare these days, and even well used pairs change hands for around $1000.
