Audioengine A5 companion subwoofer

Hi all!  I know there are several threads on this topic already (about a year or more old), but they don't quite answer my question (the recommendations are always over the budget).

I recently purchased the Audioengine A5s and I am extremely happy with them *except* I miss the ~30-40 Hz range, which is quiet to inaudible on this setup.  My budget is $150 (I know, it's low) for a subwoofer.  I know there will be several great recommendations for $300 subs, but I simply can't rationalize spending that much in addition to the A5s.  So my question is: is there anything good enough that I can grab for $150 or less which will give me back those frequencies, preferably accurately?  I may have a unique situation in that I also own a Klipsch Promedia 4.1 setup which is somewhat broken (buzzing sub, apparently due to a bad board) but could be fixed for ~$100.  So, there's a second question: If you were to compare buying a new sub to getting the Promedia sub fixed and pairing it with the A5s, which would you go for?

Thanks!

I just wanted to bump this thread. My A5n's arrive tomorrow and I'm sure they will be great. I am concerned about the lack of a dedicated sub. I am coming from the z-5500's which have huge bass but is boomy/loose/muddy. I am a total bass head. I want to be able to FEEL the bass in my bones but I still want it to be balanced well with the music. Tight and punchy that can make me feel it is what I am looking for. I will go up to $300 for one. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Oh and I listen almost exclusively to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Not sure if that is relevant.
