Hi Guys,

I discovered this place while looking for a cable solution for my shiny new Philips Vibe.

I had no idea all this amping of mp3s was going on !

 

I used to be an audiophile with Quad Electrostatics, 22/2 valve amps, Ariston RD11 etc

years ago and sold all that lot as family came along :)

I have developed a mental quality enhancer now, so even a wee transistor radio can satisfy me :D

The buds that come with the Vibe are appparently crap but sound sweet to me, best part is the bloody things don't fall out, that's a first .

Finally bought an MP3 so I can get my meager music collection more mobile.

So far I'm very impressed.

Looking forward to making up a cable to get a signal to the van stereo, workshop stereo etc. The worlds worst solderer will be unleashed once more :D

Welcome to Head-fi, like you, i started gathering some info on audio wanting to buy a pair of decent quality headphones for my mp3..o now, i own your avatar on 180gram vinyl :D

 

This is just to let you know how dangerous for your wallet this website can get.

I also own my avatar on vinyl along with the rest of Jon and the lads offerings.

The wallet....yer well i have already bookmarked the Aussie guy making tiny headphone amps :)

Thanks for the welcome the rest of you ! Especially the offer of brain replacement, always  something a monday morning could benefit from.

My wallet is so ravaged by photography, it is safe from audio (famous last words)
