New to this and need a little help

I just got my PA2V2 in the mail today, and I plugged my iphone in to it via a lod cable. However, sound came out through the speakers instead of IEMs. I had to connect it via hp out instead. Is the amp faulty or am I doing something obviously wrong?

Seems like your LOD is either defective or not compatible with iPhones. Maybe it's not plugged in tightly enough into your iPhone.

Ah, I got it from amazon, and it was listed as an iphone/itouch lod.

Try plugging in the LOD to the iPhone, but not the amp. If it works, then no sound should play from the speakers, and the volume control slider should disappear.

 

Some LODs only work with older generations of the iPhone/iPod. Newer ones need the LOD to have special resistors installed inside.

Well, it didn't work. I think the LOD might be defective, because it's new model and labeled specifically to work with the iphone.
