I'm seeing those for $165 with free shipping on ebay. Are these any good?

I like my d1001 and JVC DX1, DX3, RX700 and 900. I'd like to step up a level though. Haven't tried any Senn though.

HD595 is the red headed stepchild of the HD580/600/650 line. Almost universally dismissed as poor quality, and with good reason. They are small niche phones like electronica... and that's about it.

I agree, but I thought their niche was cinema. If you really want to try them, the HD555 has the same drivers for about $100 less.
