I haven't owned a portable mp3 player ever but many of my friends have i-phones/g-phones/etc....
First of all I have to say that I absolutely HATE touch screens. They are slow and my fingers are stubby, I need physical buttons please.
Another thing, I don't need any video capabilities whatsoever, I'm not gonna be watching any movies or shows on my player...I just want it to play music.
Memory is whatever, 8GB is plenty for me.
Budget of $100. And that's another question....would it be worth spending the $ on nice IEMs (Either gonna be HJE900 or Radius DDM) with a $100 source budget?
I originally was settled on the Sansa Clip+ but after more reading it seems like they are not going to do my IEMs justice.
Cowon iAudio9 looks great but i'm a bit worried about the control scheme...looks a bit tricky.
The Sony E series walkmans look perfect if the sq is there, but it looks like a longer battery life version is coming out soon (from 30 to 50 hours of music).
My questions would be:
Is the iAudio9 tricky to control?
Am I going to notice a large enough sq difference between the Clip+ vs Cowon/Sony to warrant almost double the price?
Are there other options i'm not seeing? (please no touch-screens)
Thanks in advance guys!
