ATH-M50 coiled cable question

Thread Starter

Got this ATH-M50.  If the coiled cable ever gets stretched out of shape or gets damaged, where can I find a replacement cable (either coiled or straight)?  Does anyone know of an technical manual for it?  I was told that the cable is replaceable so I'm wanting to find out in advance.  Thanks.

Congratulations on the M50. Good headphones. Cable is replaceable only if you can re-solder it. It's not unpluggable like say HD600 or K702.

But if you're interested in DIY...

You'll need Canare/Mogami star quad cable, or something with 4 wires inside.
