Interconnect cable brands and lengths

Is it ok to mix and match different interconnect cable brands and lengths or should you use the same brand and lengths?

You can mix cables however you want.  Use what you have and don't worry about it.

 

Try to keep cable runs as short as possible, but it isn't that critical.  There's a little power loss with very long runs, but nothing to worry about in a room.  However, it's neat and clean to have short runs, and a very long run having more area to act like an antenna that picks up stray RF.  This is nitpicky stuff, so don't sweat something that's a couple feet longer than what you need.
