The exact details of this have been posted in the RE7 thread.

There is no OPAMP-based balanced-to-SE conversion such as you find in a lot of gear in the RE-7.  Having something hooked up to the SE connections will affect the output of the XLR sockets, so it's advisable not to have anything hooked up to the SE outputs when using it balanced for best results.

Thanks for that tip, curra. I'll make sure to do that.

Thanks Monkey smily_headphones1.gif  I'm not into DAC yet, but can you tell me what DAC PWD is?  I'm looking for a DAC actually, doing research now, seems like PWD sounds good in your book.

Sorry, no need, I saw it in your Inventory already, it's PS Audio.

Any news?

I don't like the way the input selector knob works.

I would hope that the people borrowing it would actually take the time to write up something more substantial than we've received so far, after all the trouble we've gone to.

I'll post some final thoughts after I send the DAC to the next recipient, but those of you who like novella-type reviews will not receive such from me.

I wish this site would impose a maximum of 250 words on reviews.

Yeah, you think?

I don't see how anyone could make an informed decision based on the reviews posted thus far.

Don't you already own one? There's a fine line between just being enthusiastic, an advocate, a Fanboy, or a Shill. Be careful where you might fall.

I'm just saying.

I am looking forward to my time with the Ref 7. I will make every effort at posting cogent impressions and opinions, but don't expect a War and Peace like effort.
