To help everyone out on head-fi get the job done with pretty much every sort of cable, I've putting up my pinouts notebook. All the latest connectors are covered although I may be missing a few, just let me know what to add. If people like this maybe it could get stickied.
Screwed up the labeling here but the AES is viewed from the front, and the Hirose plug is viewed from the solder side.
