just received the MKVII+ from little dot, but i am getting crackling sound from the right side>>

I was so happy today, as i received the MKVII+ today , but after i pluged it then turned the amp on, without even turn up the volume nob( at zero),

i can hear weak crackling sound.

I get that even without my LD DAC1 pluged in,

anyone know why????

will it be the headphone plugin the amp bad?

is all MKVII+ have the same "Issue"( weak crackling noise from right channel

Yes, it is the same with all the Little Dot MK VII+s unless you want it with lower power, which would reduce the noise below hearing level.  For an amplifier as powerful as the Little Dot MK VII+, you may hear the noise floor (especially since the right amp gets power first).  One advantage of balanced usage however is that it cancels out any noise in the system which is why it'll only affect the single-ended output.  Generally though, it's soft enough to not be audible during musical playback.

when listening to music, i will not be able to hear that,

but i always wear my headphone when i am working on my computer, that crackling sound really get into my nerve

I have even recorded that noise using line in connect to the MKVII+ 's headphone out when it is set to O in volume...

anyone want to hear it????

I will give it one more night of burn in...

if the sound stay, i will return it for refund...

i was really happy with little dot 's product but, his unhelpful reply really kill my mood.

and because of buying the MKVII+

i spent another 400 dollars on balanced cable for my HD600

all just wasted..

by the way

i sent in message to david asked him ow much lower the power will the mkvii+ be , if i want o get that sound fixed.

he said... the unit will down to 75%

i think it is unacceptable
