WTB - decent, but inexpensive closed cans - UK ( Audio Technica? JVC? )

Probably a rarity here on Head-Fi - I'm trading down!

I want a pair of relatively inexpensive closed cans. They won't be used a lot, as I love my Grado SR325is and will keep using them where possible.

However, I would like a pair of closed cans for the times I want to drown out external noise. They will mainly be used straight out of my laptop, and probably iPhone - so they won't be amped.

I loved the ATH-A900 - wouldn't mind another pair, but nothing more expensive than that, and would happily spend a lot less, ideally wanting to find a good price <> performance. Suppose I could be tempted by Beyer DT770 (80ohm) too.

Ive got a used set of ATH-A900's that id be willing to sell you, i dont much like the Sound sig on em. if interested i can take some pics, one of the cans has a slight dent in it, and the velour pads, on the right side where my glasses rubs them, looks a litle cracked up.

I loved my old ATH-A900s - you mention velour pads, whereas mine had very thin leatherette / plastic foam filled pads. In any case, if you were willing to ship to the UK, I'd definitely be interested!

Always wanted to try these, a bit worried about the amount of Sony counterfeits though. Do you have the receipt, or failing that, any idea of age?

In any case, photos would be awesome. I'm really only looking for one pair, but could always buy 2 and then do a closed can shootout, since they are similarly priced cans :)
