Not all USB dacs will work with the iPad USB Camera adapter as well. Also if your USB dac only offers 16bit/44.1kHz resolution then the Denon will allow higher resolution via the coax output. Or for those that dont own a USB Dac this offers a digital output option from there iPod/iTouch/iPhone.

I have been thinking about grtting the new "thinner" IPod touch (I think it was only released this month) it seems that a regular line out dock would be too big or to thick for the new IPod. Is this new smaller dock made for the new thinner Touch?

It should it just all depends on the case.
