My new Woo Audio WA5-LE "The Black Beauty" - Page 6

Yes, you definitely need to give them a shot, especially if you are so invested in this hobby.  They can be a little clunky on the head, but they are really something great and engaging to listen to!

A small change to my "Black Beauty". I replaced the original footers by ViaBlu spikes. I think it looks cool. It theory the spikes help to drain the vibration out of the chassis helping the performance. On a quick audition the first impression was that the bass was slightly reduced but paying more attention it really didn't. It just got tighter and less boomy. The rest of the frequencies got cleaner and more define providing an even more holographic soundstage than before...sweet!

To be honest the pictures don't do any justice to the beauty of this amplifier. For some reason it is very difficult to take good pictures on this finish. Even Jack warnned me about. Tht's why he does not have many picutres of the WA5 or WA5-LE in black finish.

Hint - don't use the flash

Clean it very well and use light box instead of flash. The angle of lightbox placement is very important as you don't want hot spot.

Those pegs are sexy (I never though I'd use that term in this forum).

Slightly off topic...have you tried any other viablue equipment?

Yes, I am also using the tri-absorbers and they work great too. I also have the TRS stereo plug and cable splitters. Their cables for their price are pretty good not best I have heard but those ones are more expensive.

Hey buddy, where did you got those ViaBlu spikes, they look very very nice with your "Black Beauty". Are they available in silver?

I would suspect Robert at www.aphroditrcu29.com as he is a ViaBlue dealer.
