Beats out the Bose Triport, the HD 202 and HD 435s, the AT M35 and AT M50. Just try it and see. Extremely comfortable (I wear mine while commuting and studying, for about 5+ hours a day). Bought...

No offence taken at all. In fact I do not like autotune as well, but Love Lockdown is some track that I really enjoyed for some reason. Other than that? I would strongly disadvise people to buy his music just because it is crap in my opinion. I am saying it not only as a fan of oldschool rap, but as a music lover in general.

It's just bad, mainstream music. His 'raps' are dumb. He's cocky. His autotune hurts my ears. He's a big baby.
There's so many better rappers and artists that I would much rather listen to.
Did somebody just post that they like Love Lockdown?
Perfect example of autotune right there.
(btw, i'm not dissing you or anything, just saying that love lockdown is a good example of autotune)

I like the various drums in that song.

I have no problem with autotune if it is being used as an effect as opposed to when they use it to "correct" a vocal. It is an effect on love lockdown.
I think his music is full of bullshit lies and ulterior motives. He's a gimmick and needs to be exposed. I cannot stand the new Kanye. I was a huge fan of the old College Dropout Kanye. I don't know. He's just ridiculous now.
Like seriously... Power? Did you guys see that music video? He needs to reevaluate something in his life lol.
whats wrong with the power music video? i thought it was really cool. different than any other video

I liked Power purely due to the nod to King Crimson. That alone has endeared Kanye to me.

I am not a real big fan of Kanye. I dont think that he's without talent though. I actually think pretty highly of his work as a producer, and he knows how to come up with some pretty nice beats. His rapping, well, I think its terrible. I've been a fan of hip hop and rap for years, and I find his lines boring, uninspired, simple, and delivered with a lack of energy that ruins his songs for me. I honestly dont know why he gets as much praise as he does. Even 80's fresh prince was more interesting then kanye.
But, he has found an audience. the music machine has crammed him down our throats enough for most to think he is good. 2+2=5. his rap is middle of the road, and maybe thats the appeal. your parents dont mind kanye, cause they hear him on the radio. even the smooth jazz fans can find songs that sound good.
There are a few decent hip hop people out there. But just like the beginning, they are underground, and under appreciated. I'd put old school PE against anyone today. Just my 2c. if your a fan of hip hop/rap, dig deep. there are some nice sounds out there for those who care enough to look.
Plus Kanye is a tool.

I would have to disagree with you about the energy part. He has a ton of energy, especially live. If you want to see somebody who has no energy then look at Drake. Only a couple of Kanye's songs are on the radio, and the ones that are are not his best ones. He is good because he combines good beats with good raps. Most lower level rappers or hip hop artists have either one of the other but he has both in my opinion. I don't think his lyrics are very very good or the best, but they are still better than most people.
Just a question, who do you think is a very good rapper or hip hop artist?

I've not seen kanye live, so I can't really make an assessment on that. My favorite all time rap group was public enemy. More recently, I've liked Lupe fiasco. I don't want to go into a whole list. But with kanye, I think his lyrics are weak, and his rapping is not good. His cadence sounds unatural, most likely the weak lyrics. But I fully agree he can put down some nice beats. It's just not enough for me.
Now see that I can agree with. I don't listen to Kanye because of his raps; I couldn't recite more than 3 lines to you right now. I listen because of the way his raps flow with the beats making an overall very good sound. (Obviously IMO)
I do like Lupe a lot and listen to him often as well; however, like you, when I listen to Lupe I listen to his lyrics more than the beats :)

Well, I think this is my biggest argument against Kanye. Ialways find rap to be something completely to classical music (not to mean I do not like it - I do like classical a lot). In classical music you listen to the instruments and there are no vocals. In rap on the other hand you listen to lyrics and beat is just a background that makes everything sound more musical. I think lyrics should always go in the first place in rap and then the beat. As an example I can give... hm... Ghetto Vet by Ice Cube. It is lyrics that are important though the 'background' is very good
