This is a beast of a player. Really well built with aluminum faceplace, double chassis and separate power supplies. It plays DVDs and SACDs (also MP3 CDs, but not DVD MP3 discs). It's part of Sony's ES line, so they took great care with it, you can even switch off the video section for a cleaner audio section. It comes with it's remote, but no original box or manual (easy to find). Original list was $600, I think I paid $300 on Amazon a couple years ago - 4/5 years? The unit functions perfectly, same as new. The disc changer was always a little loud, but I guess that's just the mechanics of these things, plays as it always did. The faceplace is perfect as is remote, but it was in my A/V area and picked up a bunch of scratches on the top from having a WII and Playstation parked on it. It also has two dents, in the top edge of the case (towards the back) which I don't know how my kids put on it. But it hasn't affected the player as this thing has a dual chassis design, anyway. VERY sturdy.. This is a very detailed player. I personally always found it bright sounding, and I'm the king of darkness, so I got more play as a DVD player than a SACD player. However I bought a couple discs like Bowies Ziggy Stardust, and, man, do you hear things you never heard before!
