Any new thoughts? :)

I haven't been running them through the night for a faster break-in, but each day seems to just get better and better. Not sure if it's my ears adjusting or the drivers relaxing ..or both.. but it's all good. Even un-amped these don't sound shitty. I'm a happy camper, regardless of whatever scathing (inevitable) reviews may come out once more people have these.

I received my pair yesterday (nice packaging!) and have only listened to them for a couple minutes. They clamp a bit less than the HD 25-1s (not sure I'm going to prefer this for use while DJing but it could be an advantage with long term/portable listening) and the sound right out of the box seemed a bit midrange-centric. I'm going to let them burn in for about a week before I really compare the sound.

That is what I've been feeling on mine also, get's better by the day, I've done about 100hrs of burn in since and I am even more convinced that is a better balanced and clear close can headphone than the Sennheiser HD 25-1 and I'm listen to music direct out of my MacBook Pro without any DAC or Amp (still waiting for my uDAC 2). 

It is a VERY good headphone for the price range and looks prettier by the day also.

To those that own both, are they lighter or heavier on the head compared to the HD-25? Also, are the earpads smaller or bigger? It'll be nice to have the flexibility to use other manufacturer's pads.

just purchased an RSA Predator ..looking forward to hear how the two pair together. :)

Unfortunately, I won't be able to do a HD 25/TMA-1 comparison because I'm sending mine back.

Part of the rubber headband underneath the "R" started to come off and I haven't even taken them out of the studio.

I do have to say that after about 50 hours, they started to sound quite good (probably better than the HD 25s - more balanced and crisper highs). However, I purchased these exclusively for DJing and they don't match the HD 25s for this application. I don't like the looseness of the fit (though this makes them more comfortable for longer listening periods) and comfort of the headband. I have a ridge at the top of my head there was only a small point of contact by the headband which is like soft rubber instead of foam. I also prefer velour earpads and it's not currently an option with these. The earcups are slightly larger than the HD 25 earcups.

I am starting to notice the same tendency on the right side of the underside of the headband. Every now and then I will notice the underside prying up from the headband allowing me to see some adhesive, but after a press it seems to hold for a while....as much as I am really enjoying these headphones, this is certainly not something that should ever be seen, let alone just over a week of sparing use. 

I agree, for the price and supposed quality one should not see those issues. I will counter, however, that it made my dual entry recable a lot cleaner and easier to perform with that adhesive. I reused the same adhesive and haven't noticed any issues since.

These should be compared to the HD 25, not the 25sp.

Hello people,

I've just got my TMA-1 beasts. I can make few listening and stage tests if you wish (once there's nobody in house).

I am not an audiophile though and don't even have much experiences in DJ headphones.

Anyway, let me know if you'd like to read my opinion and see some photos.

Is it me or are these just an HD 25 rip off?

When I first saw them i thought it was a refreshed HD 25 from Sennheiser or something, then i saw it's from some random brand i've never heard of before.
