Monster Gel SuperTip: Which SIZE best for IE8?

Saw that Monster's SuperTips come in a very wide range of sizes. I'm interested in Gel type. Have tired Comply as well as Sennheiser's own foam and double-flange. Must say that I prefer the smallest size for all these; Complys are best but most trouble to insert as they have to be molded first. Next best are Senn's own small double-flange.

Any suggestion for SuperTip size for IE8? Or can you suggest another non-customized tip?

Thx!

it will depend on your ears ,but i suspect if you like small tips best than you will want one of the three smallest gel super tips as they are quite firm.

The IE8s SUCK when it comes to isolation from external noise -- this is partly tip-related but mostly has to do with the short, wide nozzle design Sennheiser opted for. Isolation is pretty important to me ... hence, I definitely don't need "uncooperating" tips. Although I haven't tried them, the Sonys seem to be the worst of the lot when it comes to isolation. No thx! Alas, I may have to go the customized path...

BTW...anyone with experience with IE8s and ACS Slicsound 'add-on" device?

I think this is mostly incorrect.Simply count the number of posts that negatively relate IE8s with isolation when compared to OTHER IEMs

That comparison is only worthwhile for readers / users who are willing to spend the $$$ to replace their foam tips regularly.

Yup ... and not only that but the IE8's nozzles are pretty fragile (see my posts on this elsewhere in this forum). Twisting on (or off -- can't recall) the Comply's, I managed to break the nozzle's thread-seal. The IE8 nozzles are actually kinda/sorta detatchable, but they are initially lightly / semi-permanetly attached using a plastic break-seal (think drink bottle cap). The stock Senn nozzles are very loose friction fit, so no problem ... but after-mkts like Comply's are "Death-Grip" tight.

ALAS ... Menowthinks that if one wants the BEST sol'n, then one has to bite the bullet and go the customized-ear-mold-via-audiologist path here.

BTW...those with IE* and custiomized tips ... how are they WRT wind noise (a pet peeve of mine with the Senn IEMs)?
