Hello, I am looking for a dac for my bedroom rig. I wont buy it yet but I want to do my research well. I want to pay max 400 euro. It has to have spdiff input and xlr output. I will use the ipod nano as source and the onkyo media transport. I THINK i will be using the m-audio 8a deluxe speakers.

I have 3 options at this time

the dacmagic which has a wolfson chip

the little dot dac_i which has the seem chip and is a lot cheaper. I wonder if anyone has heard both at the seem time because these are at the top of my list and I cant decide.

Then there is the buffalo ii but I would need to get a builder because I cant makeit myself.

Any help would be appreciated,
