The $30 (likely price mistake) SRH750DJ just arrived, and I'm blown away. Out of the box, there is excellent accuracy in the music I've listened to (thus far, some grimy hip-hop and some avant garde metal - not death) and the bass is super, super refined. Nice and punchy.

All in all, I think the seller did the mature thing. They fulfilled, as best I can tell, the orders of their stock, and are cancelling the people who backordered, which is probably the most we should expect on a price mistake and, provided everybody else gets theirs, I don't think anybody should leave them bad feedback.

Not sure how hot of a deal this is, but figured I'd throw it up here in case it piques anyone's interest. Newegg has Sennheiser HD 428 SCs on sale for $44.95 shipped (with promo code EMCNJNF47):

Awesome!  Can't wait to get mine now.  I agree, great of them to "man up" and go forward with the mistake price.  They will get a great review once I recieve them.

Yeah, I jump the gun when I said that, I thought they was gonna cancel everyone's order.

Now I can't wait to get mine. I was really interested in this headphone 6 months ago but never bought it because of some of the reviews. @ $30 it's a no brainer.

It's only been about an hour or so of listening but it's gotta be the best $30 I've spent on headphones. Possible build quality issues and I need the pads to loosen up a little, but I have no complaints with the sound.

How's the build?? This review is what stopped me from (buying) paying retail for these

For a new pair?  If so, that certainly was a much better deal.

I find that they feel very bulky and solid, but the material itself feels cheap. I feel like people base on the theory of them breaking and not them actually breaking. My most recent headphone I've received is the Koss Pro DJ 200 and seeing as how that's about $20 cheaper and has a lot of aluminum and phenomenal build quality, I'd probably be displeased at full retail, but again, that's based on feel. There's a lot there, I don't see them breaking under proper care.

The Gemini DJX-07 Professional DJ are $36 at Woot.com.  Not sure if these are a rebrand of another headphone.

They come with a set of extra velour pads which might be worth it as well...  http://tech.woot.com/offers/djx-07-dj-headphones-2

That's a good deal. Not for sure if they are a rebrand but a buddy has this same set and the sound very close to the Denon HP700.

I have an OEM of them: the Prodipe Pro800. They sounded great, but the adjusters snapped within 3 months.

Full size gaming headphones, the Logitech G930's

I have a pair of these myself from amazon and they seem pretty good. I paid £115 ish for them

They're £17 currently on the Tesco website

I guess it must be a pricing issue.

Really?? That close huh?? So the 555's are the better value in your opinion

I've owned both and I wouldn't say that. My memory of the 555 is rather murky, as it's been a while, but I don't like them nearly as much as the HD600. I got my HD600s cheap too, about $120 used.
