Matrix M-Stage DAC now available for $199!

I bought in a while ago but the group just got big enough to drop the price! Market price for these is almost $300, it might be worth buying some just to flip online.

Either way, here's the link. The buy is only on for another couple hours so get in while you can!

Anyone have a coupon code for needle doctor or music direct?  I want to get a 2m red cartridge and some sleeves.

Thanks!

Massdrop is reasonably sure they've all been shipped. How, you can be pretty sure but not totally sure makes no sense to me but hey, who am i to question. Anyway, they said USPS was carrying, so i suppose they should be here sometime in the coming week.

my patience has held up surprisingly well for this one, mainly because of the sheer number of amps ordered im not surprised that matrix didnt have enough stock. Really hoping they come in this week, was planning on it being a christmas present for myself, now its looking like a birthday present biggrin.gif

That's a crazy good deal on the T5p. How do they compare to the t70's in regards to bass?? The t70's bass is super tight and ultra fast but very weak IMO Quality is great but quantity is definitely lacking... Does the T5p address this or are there other major differences that justify the giant price difference??

And also the HE-6 and HE-500 vs HE-400. The 400 is second to known to me but obviously they made the better versions for a reason but what is it about them that makes them better?? I'm very new into the Ortho world so not sure what to expect from the better models

they just sound better :)  The HE-500 is a very clear step up from the 400, in my opinion.  HE-500/HE-6 is much closer with HE-500 even being the better choice if you do not have a very powerful amplifier for the HE-6.

Right, I've heard the power of the almighty is needed to power the HE-6. So the HE-500 would make a lot more sense

There is some truth to that, but (just to name a few) the HiFiMan EF 5 & 6, Burson HA-160 and Schiit Lyr will drive them.

That list is for the HE-500 right?

I think he meant for the HE-6.  It's said that the Burson Soloist can handle the HE-6... see:

http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/burson-audio-soloist-headphone-amplifier

But they say that the EF-6 is the better choice.  I'd figure the Lyr has the juice for it as well... but I'd question a Burson HA-160 handling it.
