Did anyone actually receive a refund on the AD900 deal yet?
I am halfway tempted to call them if I don't get my refund soon, but I also think that if I somehow wait it out, they might ship :)

You should probably be fine then. I mean, the he-400 is probably a bit better, the 650 is still amazing

which is why I'll eventually own both. I imagine they would compliment each other quite well with their different sound signatures.

I'm wondering how many people will leave negative feedback over the whole thing. I think more than anything, giving a coupon offering free shipping is a pretty poor tactic. I would have rather them said "our mistake" rather than, here's a coupon that doesn't really affect your purchase anyway.

Now that i think about it, HiFiMan could actually do that for cyber monday...they made sure no one that sells their products put sales on the he-400 and he-500 so....maybe they're planning something?

2nd reason why i didn't jump on the 650's....waiting on a sale for the he-400

HE-400/500/6 has become pretty popular, at least amongst head-fi community. They are a smaller niche company so from a business standpoint it does make some sense. Although it doesn't make sense for Sennheiser, considering they are so huge and the HD650 is what, like 10 years old now?

amen amen! but its been down to like 530 before, and that was new through amazon. i say have your finger on the trigger for the next time that happens.

Maybe it is a good thing I only recently stumbled upon this thread in the past week

Yeah this holiday I've bought HD650, RE0 and the Jaycar Pro Monitors (HM5 clone), but hell, if there is a deal on the HE-500s I'll probably still go for them too.
