Razordog said Sennheiser has really clamped down on pricing. I think the days of new for less than $400 are pretty much gone. Maybe $375...

There was the opportunity with the Gizmodo/soundearphones.com deal to get 'em at 25% off which would have been $375... but that ship has sailed.  Used to be able to get them at ~$350 all the time.

That's bad. I bought mine from them, and it was a VERY good deal.

I just received the HF =D

If you don't mind using a little google translate, you can pick up Sennheiser IE80s from Amazon.de for $278 shipped to the US.

Are they legit though?

I shall see when they arrive. They are shipped directly from Amazon, so there's no risk of fishy third party sellers. 30 day return policy is in effect as well. I doubt they're fake though, especially since they're coming from the home of Sennheiser.

If you go to Razordog's website right now, they have the HD600s for 399.95.  You can then apply the $100 coupon (it's right on their site) and that will take the price down to 299.95.  I have them in my cart right now.  In light of Sennheiser getting more strict, this loophole might not last much longer.  I got my HD650s from RD earlier this year for $350.

EDIT:

I just placed the order for the HD600s- order confirmation says $299.95 USD.  But then I read some fine print they have on their website:

2. The Instant Rebate offer seems too good to be true! What’s the catch?
At RazorDog! our goal is to give you the lowest prices. So there’s no catch, other than some Sennheiser models are excluded from this offer: CXC 700, HD 25 Adidas Originals, HD 25-1ii,  HD 280, HD 380, HD 439, HD 449, HD 518, HD 558, HD 598, HD 600, HD 650, IE 60, IE 80, MOMENTUM,  MM 70i, MM 100, MM 400, MM 450 and (X), MM 500-X, MM 550 and (X), PXC 250-ii, PXC 310, PXC 450, RS 160, RS 170, RS 180, X 320.

I'm not sure if this was recently added since my HD650 purchase.  I'll reply back here to let you guys know what happens.

Everything went perfectly when I ordered the IE80 from Amazon Germany.

Doh! That didn't last long. Coupon code no longer works... Must have been fixed. Too bad for other headfiers; but looks like Mkubota1 was in the right place at the right time. $300 is a great price!

This list of excluded Sennheiser products has been on their site for at least the last few months. It's what I'd expect from an authorized dealer.
