So i constructed a list of average used headphones prices. This should be useful for those just entering the used gear market. Let me know if i have anything wrong on the list.

Prices do not include shipping. Prices in US Dollar and are based on excellent condition of the equipment.

Where are you getting your prices? Just curious.

They are based on several factors. MSRP, market demand (whether they have been discontinued and/or in high demand), average second-hand prices on this forum, and average second-hand prices on Ebay.

PS. I'm working on a charted version that will examine the price trend since the headphone has been released (from new to use).

Seems good to me, nice job!

This might come in useful for quite a few head-fiers.

Most of the prices look reasonable. Good job.

The Grado SR225i's I've been seeing lately on the forums having been around $170ish. I would defienately buy them if they were $130 though!

The ones quoted are the SR225 not the SR225i.

Ah, gotcha. I thought the "i" was just assumed, as I thought the regular non-i ones were no longer made. lol.

I was looking for a price chart similar to this one, im always checking the For sale forums to see whats good for the price.

Thanks!

I would include the i version prices for the Grado's since they would be more relevant.

The AD700 is not $100 used. It is $90 new. Also the Grados (if they are the "i" model) need to be corrected about $20 north. And it would be great if I could find Beyerdynamics for those prices!

But still this is a great list. Good job.

SR60i - $60
SR80i - $75
SR125i - $110
SR225i - $150

SR325i - $200

SR325is - $225

RS2i - $375

RS1i - $490

GS1000i - $700

Generally, I find that used prices for the most recent Grado models are about 75% of their original MSRP, to a certain extent. The extremes of the lineup (RS1, GS1000) don't seem to follow this rule.

Oops, didn't read mralexosborn's comment. His "$20 north" very accurately predicts my prices and makes my post somewhat moot.
