What are the known synergistic headphone amps for the AKG K701?

Whether because they were voiced together or because of serendipity, it seems like certain combinations of headphone and headphone amp just work better than others.

May I ask what the known synergistic headphone amps for the AKG K701 are?

Details on why that combo is particularly good would also be appreciated.

Yes, please move to proper forum (I thought I put it in headphone amp forum).

The Musical Fidelity X-CAN range of hybrid solid state/valve amps major in detail and realism. The AKGs also major in detail and I do not think that they sound as 'dry' or 'flat' as is sometimes used to describe the K70x. For that reason I would say they are a very good match.

Such thread already exists. From what I know - Leben CS300, Leben CS600, Woo Audio 2. A Lehmann BCL clone from ebay, when you mod it properly, blows the CanAmp off the surface with the K701. So, the Heed is an absolute minimum for guys on the budget who cannot DIY.
