Ear lube for customs

I've had these custom iems for a while and one side is always uncomfortable and hurts when I remove them. It was suggested that some kind of earphone lubricant could be used. Since locating some isn't always easy and eye drop lubricant is easy to find do you think that would be a good substitute?

Oto-Ease:

Bacteria-free, grease-less lubricant helps ease the insertion of earpieces, hearing instruments and other custom-fit products into the ear and provides an effective acoustic seal.
