Not having a job or an abundance of money I wanted to spend on money, a couple years ago I found Jamendo. I still find it a pretty decent place for some electronic (and some other stuff, but not as much, it seems).

I was wondering how many of you are also into libre indie (yes, I just made up that phrase), e.g. Creative Commons or similarly licensed music. Not necessarily open source, à la newer Nine Inch Nails, but just stuff licensed like that.

Know what I mean?

speaking of creative commons and open source music repository, magnatune is a good place to look around as well.

Okay. Well, these are mostly amatuer (meaning, that's not their job) musicians and groups who decide to release music under a Creative Commons or similar license. For an example, see JT Bruce, a favorite of mine. So they're not with a record label, usually.
