Hello I'm new to here but was wondering if I could get some advice, or even ask for a big favor if there are any willing.
I live in the UK and I am jealous of the headphone deals available to my US cousins, which can offer prices far far below what I could hope to find in the UK. At the moment, I am severely tempted by these 66 USD (41.5 GBP) Audio Technica ATH-AD700. The cheapest I can find them in my homeland is 90 GBP (143 USD) and would buy them now if I could but Amazon will not ship them to me. Currently i have some Senn 212 pro's that i bought at a similar price and although i am still very ignorant about headphones, i gather these are much better.(???) Now i have looked at numerous mail forwarding services but they seemed to be geared towards people who require multiple and/or regular purchase in order to be economically viable, whereas this should be something of a one-off for me. I think the absolute cheapest I could find would end up costing me about 50USD to get it delivered to my house, which obviously makes the deal much less of a bargain than I originally hoped for.
So... I was wondering if anyone either knew of a much cheaper reliable service or if a trustworthy member could possibly help me out by forwarding the package for me if I order it to your address. All costs covered by me obviously.
Note: There are a set of Senn HD580 on eBay currently at 32 GBP and although they will undoubtedly rise, i was wondering how they compare to the the Audio Technica'a and what their value is, they seem to be somewhat hard to get information on.
