Greetings kneeljung !   I got the Joe Bonamassa cd you recommended and "tasted" some songs from the first cd , sounds right up my alley , juicy guitars and good vocals - will be added ! :)

I'm glad to hear we have similiar tasted , feel free to make more recommendations .

Uncle Erik , it's funny you mentioned king crimson album - it's one of the reason I started this discussion . a few years back me and my family were on a trip to the west coast it was on my mp3 player and the combination of discovering it while watching the views of The Grand Canyon are unforgettable .

I'll add Beethoven's Seventh Symphony becuase it's about time I'll get around to diffrent styles . I'll hear samples from the others albums you mentioned and add the ones that I'll have a connection with .

moriez - I'm taking the lasted albums of Agollach , an album of Godspeed You Black Emperor and Yndi Halda "Enjoy Eternal Bliss"  which was recommended to me before , I'll maybe want just one more - i'll check it out.

I Have nightwish's once that has 2 singles I like , are their any previous better records? .

Thank you guys , you're giving me a bit of headche with all this tough decions but I'm loving every second so keep 'em coming .

I almost forgot the feeling of  discovering new music , It's a bit like love , some starts off real fast and burns away after a while , some grows and grows on you and will always stick around :)

Both Oceanborn and Century Child are very good albums!  Very different from Once, however.  I'd recommend CC.

Floatin' down that old river boy, leaves me feelin' good inside,
Floatin' down that old river boy, tryin' to get to the other side,
Yesterday is slowly fadin',
I been waitin', now forever, for this ride.

It's really the seminal classic progressive rock album. In the same vein are Fragile and Close to the Edge, both by Yes.

Holy Diver - Dio

The Beatles sgt. peppers lonely heart club band, the beatles, magical mystery tour, pink floyd - the dark side of the moon, ... oh wait, wrong kind of trip, my bad.

If you're not familiar w "Delicate Sound of Thunder" by Pink Floyd, it's like a "best of" live.

You might enjoy "In Visible Silence" by The Art of Noise.   Creative ambient music.
