painting a cable?

hey all!

i have got an Ipod in shocking pink color. But the earphone along with that is in white. I want to paint it in Pink too. I have a spray color in pink but i am hesitant if this is a good thing to do or not. I mean, will that color fade out or it will dirty my dress?

 

give your suggestions.

It will most likely rub off. I wouldn't do it without at least a primer.

The most logical solution would be to just buy a pink pair of earphones. Vinyl dye is usually the best bet to change the color of plastic, but I wouldn't trust anything like that in my ear canal.

You can mask the cables and spray the buds but I would try to find some round pink sticker and make poke a dots or something like that..

 

Wrap some pieces of pink tape around the cable in alternating white pink stripes ...

You can use a color spray and when you done painting use an acrylic paint sealer. 

Didnt know you were a girl.

wrap them in pink techflex. https://www.wirecare.com/products.asp?prodline=PTN Then get some adhesive lined heatshrink to seal off the ends. https://www.wirecare.com/products.asp?prodline=H3A All you need is the stuff, a pair of scissors, and a lighter. Oh, and paint the stuff with acrylic and seal it off with nail polish or something...
