ADVICE needed on SPL Auditor & PS100?

Does anyone know how these will sound together?

I use a PS GCHA at the moment with my PS1000's, will the Auditor sound better instead of the GCHA? 

Does the Auditor and Phonitor sound the same as a headphone amp?

I will be using my Cambridge Audio 840c  as a source.

Doesn´t seem that common though. My Auditor hasn´t killed any headphone yet. Haven´t heard about the issue for anyone else either.

Still not a good match with low impedance phones, like the OP's PS1000.
