Upgrading from Grado SR-60s

I have had my Grados since 1998, but until recently I have not used them very much. Now I'm in a situation where I want to use headphones a lot more. I've always felt that the sound of the Grados was overly bright and crisp. I'm happy with their bass response, although I would not object to a bit more base.

The phones will be used primarily for music (jazz, vocals, pop and some electronic/techno), and around 10%-20% for TV & movies. I will be driving them from the headphone jack of my Pioneer VSX-54TX A/V receiver. They will not be used with a computer or a portable player, only the receiver. I don’t care if the new phones “leak” sound. I do want over the ear, but they can be closed or open.

Currently I'm looking at the Sennheiser HD-595 and the Denon AHD2000, although I'm leaning towards the Denons. Unfortunately I will not be able to audition either headphone prior to purchase so I would really appreciate forum members input!
