Sennheiser IE7 for £35, free delivery from orange. - Page 9

I just clicked the link in the original post and now it only leads to the main page for Orange accessories. Furthermore, a search for Sennheiser shows no IE7's in the results! I think it's time I dropped them an email.

sent them an email asking when I'd get them, only to be told they were out of stock and I can get a refund or wait for restocking, which 'usually happens within 5 days' apparently.

This has balls-up written all over it.

It's the same copy-paste reply everyone has been getting. Somehow I'm really doubting that they'll be back in stock within 5 days.

I ordered one pair at about 10:30am, and have yet to receive despatch confirmation. This really doesn't look very good.

Its actually the worst online service I've ever had.  At least if they're out of stock they should tell you rather than you having to chase them. And their online stock system clearly can't count, or it wouldnt have let orders go through. Unless its deliberate, of course, but I'm not malicious enough to suggest someone is being greedy at Orange. That would be rude.

incase our orders dont ship out due to shortage, all we can do is smile and laugh it off

ends with the whole head fi bunch having a good laugh..  in the distance the fire on the orange company building can be seen brighter than day and by now all there ie7 have turned to ash

It seems that the company supplying the IE7s on behalf of Orange is 20:20 Logistics, judging by the email response I received to my enquiry to Orange yesterday.

Here is the follow up I have just sent.

Hi

Further to your response below, can you tell me - why did you accept my online order when you were out of stock?  Your website clearly stated the product was in stock when I ordered it, and until I asked you yesterday, I had been given no indication the product was not in stock.  That seems very bad customer service to me.

Can I ask you to clarify whether you have taken the £28 from my credit card yet and when exactly you will be getting more stock in?  The '5 days' response is a generic one and I would like to know exactly when I should expect to receive the product, so I can decide whether to cancel or not.

Thank you

Do they ship to the rest of Europe too?

it seems 20:20 logistics are about as competent as orange were when i used to use them, their staff where always nice but as usefull as a chocolate teapot

Couldnt agree more.

I tried ordering a pair as well in the evening when this offer was put up - but it was out of stock at the time.

Funny thing is I have already jumped on the UE700 offer and ordered a couple of RE-ZERO just to hear the difference (awaiting Danish customs and TNT to get moving).

And after listening to my new UE700 I still prefer my SE530, but will I sell the UE700? Most likely not, they look nice and are fun as reference phones.. :-)

I would have bought a pair myself at that price, and I hardly need them. It's just funny how much we HFers love a bargain, need the phones or not.

At least you guys are getting a response to your emails because I'm not! Not happy about this at all.
