Are the tips that good? I have a pair but haven't been able to try it on anything that I have in my possession right now.

I don't know if they are that good or not but at $20 for shipping I can't afford to find out LOL.

I can lend you a pair when I finally get them. If you like them perhaps we can make a trade for other tips? If you don't like them,  just send them back!

If you end up not needing them Rip N' Burn I will have some MTPC hybrid or gel tips we could barter on. I'll let you know.

I also have sent a question to Sensorcom to see if they have any NA based distributors. If not, I asked them what it would take to become a distributor. I suspect it will be alot more than I can afford, to get involved but asking never hurts. I also have googled the Alpine MotoSafe Earplugs which those tips are designed for and see that the Earplug Store also sells Alpine, but they don't sell the tips seperately. If we can't get anything from Sensorcom I may ask Earplug Store if they can start to stock the tips.

Finally if nothing else I will start up a Group Buy thread in the Group Buy forum and post a link to it in this thread.

Just a FYI but group buys can only be organized by sponsors or MOT unless you have permission from jude unless there have been changes since we moved to huddler.

Ahhhh thanks Rawrster, I have never tried to do one, I will find out how it works before I go that direction then.

Why should my post above result in this or any other thread being locked , it was a private joke between between ericp and myself and does not mention or involve  any body else !.

That is the least expensive (and only) distributor in North America. You can use a 15% off coupon as well. I am not sure what works at the moment (fg15?, site15?). Try them out or ask for further help.

OK so I found my dime bag of tips and have tried the UE tips and found they worked very well so I like the shallower Meelec single flange which is very soft and conforms to my ears well. But the UE tip is a bit sturdier and slightly deeper giving it a bit of different sound. I think I will have to try the Sensorcom tip as well. In any case my only quibble with the SM3 (recessed treble) is pretty much removed with these tips. I know there are brighter or more treble present IEM's on the market (DBA2 for one) that are not harsh, but with this tip combination on the SM3 I think these are as much treble as I can handle.

I have one of those custom ear mold kits coming in from the earplug store though (schwallman's posts have given me the confidence to try doing this on my own). So after I try doing that if I really like how they feel I may still go custom (tip or shell, still not sure which). If I am not as happy or comfortable with their feel I think I will just stick with these wide mouth tips.

BTW when you guys are using the comply core as a spacer, do you seal it on the tip somehow or just shove it in? I have been just shoving it in but wonder how much sound is getting leaked around the core and the tip.
