Want recommendation for a step up from PA2V2

Thread Starter

I have a PA2V2 and like it very much. I mostly use it at my desk at work where I don't need to carry it around. I have been thinking about upgrading . Does anyone have a recommendation for a portable amp, pretty small, that would provide better sound than the PA2V2? I am willing to spend some money, but not too much (I know, that is pretty wishy washy).

Thanks. Brad.

You likely would prefer a GoVibe Petite / DAC. I recently bought one for ~$100 but haven't used it yet.

If you are not walking around with it, you should also be looking into transportable amps. The LISA III is undoubtedly the best amp that you could get (that is still semi-portable). However, the LISA III costs $600.

If you want something less costly, I think your best option is the iBasso D4. It is an excellent amp and has a well-functioning DAC. With op-amp rolling, it can sound as good as the P-51 Mustang. The iBasso D4 is $220.

For even less, the iBasso T3 is a great amp. It is tiny and costs just over $100.
