Ahh, I think I'll just do this.  I spent 3 years trading headphones, amps and sources around to get here.  Sure as I mess with it, and I'll end up spending another 2 or 3 years getting back.

^ x3.  I have a similar rig (airport -> DacMagic -> Mapletree -> D7000) and also 5 other good headphones that I actually like quite a lot (SR225, HF-1, SRH840, HD600, D5000) - and listen to the D7000 95% of the time.  I also compared them to D5000, and cannot listen to those headphones at all even though they actually have a very similar signature.   After hearing the D7000 edge out so many other headphones,  I appreciate them even more and can't go back to the others.  I think you'd regret selling the D7000 and would not be able to tolerate the sound quality of other headphones for the few extra hundred dollars you might be able to get for them.

Could you listen to them out the Peachtree and sell the DacMagic  & Dynalo?  Or sell the Peachtree in favor of the other amp?

It's not the colorations that bother me, it's the flabby bass. I can see why people praise the D7K if that's the case, though it's not really on my broke student buy list either.

The D7000 is a great can. I use it as my closed can and listen to mostly classical and jazz. It really gives a orchestra the dynamics and bass slam needed to make the music come alive. It is also great for rock. It is very refined and crystal clear and compliments my T1 in a good way. Love both of my cans and see no reason to downgrade my cans. The Denon prefers my Matrix amp while the T1 loves the Decware. It would be hard for me to be without the D7000 or the T1
