IC: Ultra-rare Headphile HP3000 in Ebony

I am possibly contemplating selling my headphile HP3000 which I bought here (also see link for pics): http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/481998/fs-headphile-hp3000-v2-sold

For those that don't know, this is a woodied cd3000 with hp1000 drivers.

Here is the description from the previous sale thread:

"This is a one of a kind headphone that Larry made with Ebony cups, cable divider, and plug. Overall the ebony cups have some marks but still look very nice. The marks are partially hidden by the dark color of the wood. The cable is a 2m BlackGold Cable terminated by a 4pin XLR connector for balanced operation, with an additional 1m length BlackGold adaptor terminated in 1/4" jack for unbalanced operation. The outer and inner headbands have been replaced with black lambskin. The plastic outer band areas have been sprayed gloss black, as have the plastic cup brackets. The black spray application looks nice, however, some of the paint is scratched off near the front of the headphone brackets revealing the original silver finish below. Someone who is good at applying paint might be able to make it look like new again. The pads, typical of CD3000 pads, show deterioration but are still comfortable and usable. New pads are still available through Audiocubes II. The original Sony hardcase, lined in black lambskin, is included. The original owner reportedly paid $2,000 for the headphone. Please note that there is some dust in the photos."

These headphones have the best mids I have ever heard in a headphone (including PS-1000, K1000, SR-007, HD800).

PM if interested.

This will most likely be withdrawn from sale unless someone is very very interested. As soon as I put them on my head,  I cannot bring myself to part with them.

Jeez! I almost bought these a long time ago. I still get sad knowing I never got the chance to own them. Free bump!
