Up for sale is my beloved Sennheiser HD800 (s/n 05224). I must part with these and some other equipment due to my recent wedding related spendings. As you can see from my head-fi review, these are really some of the best headphones you can buy out there...over the months I had been bought a lot of very high end dynamics, electrostatics, and orthodynamics, and the HD800s were always the ones to stick around.
I am the first owner of these headphones which were purchased in February and have been pampered ever since purchasing them. They were used in a non smoking environment and always stored on my headphone stand. As you will see in the photos, other than a very minute (and hard to photograph) nick on the left back side of the headphone, these are in pristine condition and the earpads and headband are like new.
I will ship these headphones out in their original box, user manuals, and headphones cable. However, if you are also interested, I’m also selling my 10ft. Double Helix Complement Clone cable which I found made a profound difference in the sound of the headphone. This cable has received extremely positive reviews on Head-fi can very easily be reterminated to balanced by the company if need be. The cable was purchased 2 months ago for $515.
