Amp/speakers OR active speakers? (>$400)

Hey Guys,

 

I'm looking for a hi-fi amp/speaker OR active speakers setup and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations?  I was originally planning to use my UM2s+ipod but I realized that I would much rather have a proper hi-fi system that I could just kick back to...

(Ps. I have looked at the Cambridge Audio Azur 340A SE as an option for the amp... any opinions?)

for a budget of $400 or less I'd personally go for a self-powered speaker system - SWAN makes some decent studio monitor - for a budget above the $400 I'd personally go for amp/speakers.
