Anybody know what model Discman laser modules ( D-25?) will retrofit into a Sony D-555? I've got a 1990 D-555 that powers up, motor spins a few times intermittently and then the unit powers off. I've seen this problem described in numerous threads. HAS ANYBODY FIGURED THIS OUT YET?? Is it described in the Sony Service Manual?
